Ryan Quinlivan - otherwise known as RQ - may be a relatively new name on the electronic music front, but his talent and taste has been honed over nearly 20 years of hard work in the drum n bass and electronic scene... as a DJ, promoter, designer and more recently as a producer.
His production efforts caught the ear of Auxiliary label manager ASC, who released his first EP, the ambient outing 'Memory Fields' on the imprint in 2012. That year also saw dubstep pioneer N-Type release Ryan's first full length LP, Fragment on his Terrain Records imprint.
His music has seen support from such luminaries as Loxy, dBridge, Consequence, Presha, Reza Sam KDC and ASC, and this year sees a busy year, with Auxiliary's Auxcast CD in the works, as well as an appearance on the forthcoming Etcht compilation.
With a fresh approach to electronic music, this forward-thinking producer looks set for a killer 2014. As the man himself says about his approach to music in an interview for organicbeats.co.uk 'Organic futurism'.
